PMJ is Now Accepting Submissions for Online Features
Submissions to the Fall 2014 Issue of the Journal are now closed
Email submissions to: policymatters@berkeley.edu
Priority Deadline: October 31st, 2014
Submit your article to the Goldman School of Public Policy’s PolicyMatters Journal Online Features for publication at http://www.policymattersjournal.org/features.
PolicyMatters Journal’s Online Features is a separate online page of articles on the PolicyMatters Journal website. We're run by graduate students at the Goldman School of Public Policy.
The Online Features section includes a diversity of article types, including personal stories, op-eds, reporting, and interviews. All of these articles have a focus on the implementation or effects of specific policies or proposed policies.
Submissions are open to all and we encourage students to submit.
We suggest the following submission types:
Policy in Context – Articles that focus on the author’s personal experiences in the context of a policy problem. See, for example, Burdened and Alone.
Reporting – Articles that uncover new facts and insights on current events with policy relevance. See, for example, Trade Mispricing from Mexico: Policy Solutions to Confront the War on Drugs.
Op-Ed – Articles describing ethical questions and personal opinions on a policy or policy area. See, for example, The Promise of Brown Not Yet Fulfilled.
Submissions should be between 1,000 and 2,000 words and clearly written for a general audience. As with all PMJ submissions, articles should be timely, jargon-free, and should support all claims with clear and convincing evidence. We encourage you to include a high-resolution image or figure to accompany your article.
The priority deadline for submissions is October 31st, 2014. We also accept submissions on a rolling basis.
Please email your submission to policymatters@berkeley.edu.
If you have any questions please contact us at policymatters@berkeley.edu.
